Overview

Technical Safety BC is an independent, self-funded organization that oversees the safe installation and operation of technical systems and equipment. In addition to issuing permits, licences, and certificates, they work to reduce safety risks through assessment, education, outreach, enforcement, and research.

What They Needed

ImageX was hired to review the website and recommend a plan for upgrading the CMS to Drupal. Technical Safety BC’s goal was to enhance the usability of the website, reorganizing the architecture to help their clients find critical information more efficiently and effectively.

How We Helped

Technical Safety BC wanted a secure, well-supported CMS that was easy to customize. We began the project with an audit of site content, creating an editorial calendar and a content governance plan to help guide content strategy.

User testing sessions helped shape, map, and prioritize content.  We created user journeys to inform wireframes and static prototypes. ImageX developed a new homepage and several internal page templates. After upgrading the organization's CMS to Drupal and updating the look and feel, we configured a new server and revised and migrated existing content.
